Amplify Science is looking for a Project Manager, experienced in overseeing the editorial lifecycle of digital and print products. In this role, the Editorial Project Manager will work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional teams (content development, design, digital production, operations, partner success, product) to deliver high quality content that upholds pedagogical and business goals. Candidates with previous experience in a similar role at an ed tech company preferred.
**This is a full-time, temporary position expected to last approximately 12 months.
Responsibilities:
Create detailed plans, timelines, and workflow documents to ensure project deliverables and milestones are tracking to internal and contractual deadlines.
Manage and enforce content schedules, communicate deadlines, escalate issues and risks to stakeholders and cross-functional teams, leading efforts toward resolutions.
Facilitate aggressive timelines and proactively address bottlenecks.
Define and deliver against project priorities, goals, scope, business goals and budget.
Ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely production and delivery of all project elements.
Advise on content strategies that maximize efficient production without compromising quality.
Establish checkpoints and a communication strategy to relay project updates and progress to stakeholders.
Review for quality and adherence to product and content requirements.
Leverage project tracking tools and processes for consistency and efficiency of implementations.
Manage assets and final files, and the upload process into asset management systems and coordinate approvals from relevant stakeholders.
Drive the continued development and maintenance-identifying and documenting issues, new features and versioning-of digital and print products.
Uphold content alignment among digital and physical products, ensuring a consistent classroom experience.
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS degree, with 3-5+ years in a project management role, with a history of successfully delivering digital products.
Superior communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, and other project planning and tracking applications.
Experience working in an agile development environment, with an in-depth understanding of the creative process.
Familiarity with asset management systems and overseeing large volumes of assets and files, while maintaining proper version control.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Acrobat, and InDesign.
A background in education or related field.
