Co-op for the IP Systems Engineering and Silicon Support team, to work on developing AMD SerDes and Memory Interface IP in deep submicron processes. This student will work with Pre and Post Silicon design teams along with Platform, ATE, Characterization, and FW teams. Responsibilities include:

• new product bring-up support
• assist in debug of issues
• develop/contribute to diagnostic framework including FW for IP training, margining and debug
• improve automation/testing capabilities

Requirements:

• Python and/or Perl programming
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux OS as well as Windows
• Lab experience with oscilloscopes, volt meters, logic analyzers, etc
• Good teamwork and communication skills, strong analytical/problem solving, statistical analysis, attention to details, and able to work independently.
• High-speed I/O SerDes design knowledge, understanding of CDR, bandgaps, PLLs and DLLs

Preferred Education:

• In progress towards a BS/MS in Electrical/Computer Engineering; GPA of at least 3.0/4.0. Solid understanding of basic computer architecture.
