Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a SME in technology used to service clients and process claims, as well as be a liaison to our vendor software provider
  • Successfully manage relationships with key clients
  • Ensure onboarding is comprehensive and complete
  • Manage banking applications and debit card set-ups
  • Identify and upsell additional products
  • Manage and upload enrollment files for large employers
  • Interact directly with customers via email, phone, webinar, or in person when necessary
  • Support the Sales Representatives with client implementations and other client interactions
  • Answer questions about our services, effectively and efficiently
  • Respond directly to requests for information or corrective actions, including any escalated issues
  • Work with Group Admin Specialists and Associate Account Management Specialists on new sales, renewal processes, retention, and ongoing service.
  • Perform other tasks as required, which may include attending external meetings, webinars or tradeshows as needed

Positions in this function are responsible for ensuring a smooth and successful onboarding of new clients, including clearly explaining and supporting all aspects of employer and employee requirements for enrollment. Positions may load new member or group data into the enrollment database & update the database with changes. Positions may also respond to member eligibility or group questions & verify enrollment status. Positions may work with various types of member correspondence. Positions may also be responsible for reconciling eligibility discrepancies, analyzing transactional data & submitting retroactive eligibility changes. Positions may also be responsible for inventory control of member and group transactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • An education level of at least a High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 10 years of equivalent working experience
  • 2+ years of strong customer service experience and/or client relationship building
  • Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work any of our 8 hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday 8am - 12:00pm Friday (during peak seasons, 8:00 am - 4:30pm on Fridays). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination prior to employment to ensure compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and learning and adapting to client-serving software.

Soft Skills:

  • Experience with multi-tasking including understanding multiple products and multiple levels of benefits within each product
  • Experience handling client inquiries and escalated concerns with urgency and professionalism.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer
