SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the following: assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; maintain non-union program, assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with soundfollow up; work with department heads to meet production, quality, yields, and goals, while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping, safety, sanitation, and security; supervise production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations.
REQUIREMENTS: Education: High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred. Experience: 3+ years of related industry; 3+ years supervisory with a minimum of one year experience supervising management Team Members preferred-preferably in a meat processing facility; and knowledge of OSHA, USDA and HAACP regulations. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Travel: 0-10% Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise team members in the plant; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws; interview, hire, and train team members; plan, assign, and direct work; monitor and appraise work performance; reward, coach, counseland discipline team members; address complaints and resolve problems. Other Requirements: Lead people by example, accept and delegate responsibility, display sound judgment and decision making skills; problem solve in an efficient manner with sound follow up; strong managerial skills necessary; excellent safety and attendance records
