BPAS Senior Healthcare Consultant - Syracuse (Job ID: 1333)

Hours/Week: 40 hours Location: US:NY: Syracuse

Summary:

Our consultants are distinguished by their quality, their depth of experience, and their dedication to excellence. They work with senior management to design, value, administer and communicate employee benefit programs such as health and welfare plans.



Education and Training:

Bachelors degree (BS/BA)

Minimum 10 years of experience with employee benefits consulting or work with health and welfare benefit plans within human resources


Skills:

-Strong knowledge of Health & Welfare plan design, underwriting and pricing strategies, competitive market practices, provider network analysis and contract negotiations
-Knowledge of regulatory environment, including the ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, Medicare and IRC/Treasury regulations
-Excellent customer service and guidance to clients regarding complex and sensitive member issues
-Clear written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation skills and effective external communication with clients, health plans and other benefits vendors
-Ability to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
-Strong problem solving skills; excellent analytical & decision making abilities with acute attention to detail
-Ability to identify opportunities for new sales or internal cross selling potential.
-Project Management Experience.
-Ability to work independently and on a team.

-Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to pertinent policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all job-specific training requirements in a timely fashion.
