Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Director - Program Level Advertising Lead.

In this role, the successful candidate is an accomplished and strategic Program Level Advertising Lead (Associate Director) to drive program specific advertising efforts with a team focused on connecting with a far-reaching and diverse audience with NYULHs inspirational brand and messaging. This position will join the Brand, Experience, Creative & Design team within the Communications & Marketing (C&M) department.
Reporting directly to the Advertising Lead Institutional & Program Level (Director), this important role will be responsible for driving advertising for specific departments and programs. This position is a critical component within C&Ms broader strategy to influence, motivate, and inspire audiences while furthering NYULHs vision and institutional goals.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Program Level Advertising:

      • Create and manage advertising plans to ensure timely delivery of campaigns aligned to program and program objectives; escalate issues to the Advertising Lead - Institutional & Program Level (Director) as needed
      • Design program advertising materials based on departmental and program strategic priorities, emphasizing patient-centered care and digital innovation
      • Translate current market trends in advertising into actionable recommendations and strategic plans that align with growth targets and priorities for patients, leads, stakeholders, and communities
      • Develop and launch novel, program level advertising campaigns, enhance current campaigns, and evaluate outcomes; report on outcomes to leadership, and make strategic adjustments to optimize outcomes as needed
      • Infuse data-driven insights into advertising campaigns and assess their effectiveness, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as brand reputation, conversions (i.e., appointments) for patients & leads, physician referrals, and customer lifetime value (LTV)
      • Provide regular updates to the Advertising Lead for the Advertising team's master editorial calendar, including updates to assignments, progress, and associated metrics
      • Consistently track and report on advertising campaign outcomes to ensure they're engaging leads and bringing in positive results; analyze results from each campaign to determine what was successful and what to improve for the next campaign
      • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the Advertising team to cultivate ideas for new advertising campaign concepts, including content and design elements

Collaboration and Influence:

      • Collaborate closely with the Institutional Level Advertising Lead (Associate Director) to identify synergies across campaigns and ensure the proper sequencing of advertising efforts
      • Strategize with the Advertising Lead and the Head of Enterprise Marketing Strategy on the design of advertising campaigns requiring promotion via paid channels
      • Collaborate with the Program Measurement and Business Operations Platform to establish measurement strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs); integrate these metrics into decision-making processes to maximize return on investment
      • Participate in the implementation of the broader Brand, Experience, Creative & Design team's strategy, collaborating with leaders to drive volume and reputational impact
      • Coordinate with the Advertising Lead to learn and execute a long-term advertising strategy that will enhance NYULH's vision and goals for programs
      • Partner closely with agency partners on creative development, media planning, and more
      • Collaborate with Brand, Experience, Creative & Design COE, Content Strategy & Development COE, and C&M Program Measurement & Business Operations Platform to ensure effective advertising campaigns and program implementation to drive reputation and revenue

People Management:

      • Guide the team on how work gets done, set priorities, ensure standards of excellence are understood and adhered to
      • Ensure clarity for the vision of the team to help them understand their role in the overall strategy of the institution
      • Champion NYULH's strong continuous improvement culture and ensure deployment of scalable, simplified, and standardized processes

Operational Excellence:

    • Closely track assignments, progress, and associated metrics for the team; share and update on the Advertising team's master editorial calendar
    • Leverage advertising tracking tools to measure and define success compared to other institutions in specialty areas

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a 8+ years of marketing and advertising experience
2+ years of management experience building and leading effective teams
Advertising agency and/or hospital advertising experience preferred
Proven experience in healthcare advertising strategy and digital innovation
Proficiency in project management, communication tools, and data analysis
Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration and ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
Established track record of working closely with and effectively communicating to leadership
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply and communicate data-driven insights
Creative instincts and willingness to test-and-learn
Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to influence, teach, inspire, motivate, and collaborate effectively
Working knowledge of current advertising trends and healthcare best practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or related field

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $110,479.20 - $171,392.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
