The Program
Mallinckrodt is offering a 10-to-12-week internship program, which provides an immersive experience in the world of pharmaceuticals. As an MNK Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful and impactful work that compliments the degree you are pursuing. Here, you will be able to apply what you've learned in the classroom to a corporate environment. In addition, our internship program is designed to include networking opportunities across the company, professional development workshops, and community service.

Summary of Position
This position will work with Mallinckrodt's Integrity & Compliance team in a collaborative environment and will learn about the role of Compliance in a highly regulated global pharmaceutical business through various hands-on projects within compliance operations. This is a unique opportunity to attend Integrity & Compliance team and other business meetings to learn about the laws and regulations that are applicable to a pharmaceutical company. Our diverse team operates across geographies and business units to educate our business clients about Company policy and our regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Coordinate a Fair Market Value refresh project related to our engagement of healthcare professionals. Project includes meeting with key business stakeholders to validate healthcare professional specialty lists, working with Mallinckrodt's Speaker Program vendor to implement updated rates, and utilizing the Company's healthcare professional engagement tool to ensure updated rates are implemented.
Assisting with auditing flagged records received from our Compliance Monitoring vendor including flagged record identification and analysis, and escalation to the Associate Director of Risk and Monitoring.
Assist compliance operations with the annual policy review including policy organization, management, triaging to subject matter experts and loading into Mallinckrodt's policy management system.
Additional projects as identified and needed.
Minimum Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills:
In process for Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Business, Political Science or Pre-Law. Preferred academic major or field of study: Business, Law, English or Project Management
Interest in pursuing a career in compliance in the pharmaceutical industry (in-house Compliance counsel or position within the Compliance Department)
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively operate independently on project tasks.
Highly motivated and positive attitude
Relationship with Others/Scope of Position
Works and interacts with other corporate professionals.
