Job Summary

Are you a recent graduate looking to kickstart your career in loss control and safety? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Loss Control Representative and gain valuable experience in the industry.

You'll have the chance to work with existing accounts, conduct evaluations, analyze risk exposure, develop strategies to reduce losses, and make recommendations to assist insureds in maintaining their loss control programs. Loss Control experience is not required! West Bend provides best-in-class training for those looking to start a new career!

This position may work from our office locations in either West Bend or Madison, WI.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The responsibilities will include:

    Conducting onsite calls for the purpose of providing service to existing accounts.
  • Conducting evaluations of exposures, hazards controls, and analyzing experience for prospective accounts.
  • Using loss related information to develop service plans, recommendations and reports to reduce losses.
  • Investigating risk exposures/accidents.

In addition, you will meet with prospective accounts to assist with quoting of new business, which includes analyzing loss related information, identifying loss drivers, development/delivery of recommendations to reduce losses, and consulting with underwriters to determine account and risk acceptability.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • We are looking for candidates with a bachelor's degree in safety, loss control or related field
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, marketing, and oral/written communication skills are a must
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Active listening and the ability to actively ask questions
  • Good persuasion and decision-making skills are essential
  • Valid driver's license
