Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Summary
This position is responsible for technical and application support for a specific discipline of the Laboratory division of METTLER TOLEDO; Weighing, Analytical Instruments or Material Characterization Instruments, primarily for customers, and also for sales, service and marketing colleagues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
*Primary responsibility will be to train customers on the use of AnaChem equipment as well as application development for those customers.
*During office time, they will have a secondary responsibility for phone support to end-users, sales personnel, and field service technicians on the instrument product lines.
*May be required to perform (and document) pre-work in laboratory on customer samples in advance of visit or demo.
*Training support to field sales organization, customer support, insides sales and other members of technical support.
*Travels with Technical Applications Consultants on difficult product installations, also to gain knowledge of the METTLER TOLEDO core markets.
*Performing basic instrument product demos for the telesales team at customer sites.
*Oversees remote customer training courses and registration.
*Is an internal reference and expert regarding group communication, reporting and process protocols.
*Will work with Tech Support to report/resolve any quality issues that are encountered at customer sites.
*Properly interact with SAP software and accurately record necessary product and sales information.
*Will be required to search for cross-leads while onsite with customer.
*Assist with development of marketing and technical materials.
*Other duties may be assigned.
What You Need to Succeed
Pay Range - $80,000 to $105,000 Base

Education & Experience

*The level of education and/or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job is a Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B.S.) in Physical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology or Engineering from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. *A technical training background that may include technical training classes or a certification is a plus.
*Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
*Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
*Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
*Has the ability to apply analytical principles in order to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
*Requires the ability to record and deliver information and to follow verbal instructions.
*Must be able to articulate complex ideas and concepts to a diverse group of individuals in a form and manner appropriate to the audience.
  • Overnight Travel Requirement for this position is expected to be between 50% - 70% throughout the West Coast
