Clow has three openings for Summer Help in our Small Valve Department -the successful candidate would begin work in early to mid May 2024.
SHIFTS ARE AS FOLLOW: 1-1st Shift, 1-2nd Shift, & 1- Weekend Shift
STARTING RATE OF PAY: $24.73
HEALTH INSURANCE AFTER 60 DAYS.
This position is responsible for assembly of small valves. This includes but is not limited to assembly of parts, subassemblies & components, testing, loading/ unloading, and palletizing finished product.
Responsibilities of the successful candidate include but are not limited too:
*Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
*Positions parts and components by using work instructions.
*Verifies specifications by testing product and visually inspecting quality.
*Assembles products using hand tools and other equipment.
*Resolves verifiable assembly problems to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources if needed.
*Palletizes and gets product ready for shipment, once complete.
*Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
*Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
*Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
*Contributes to team effort by accomplishing production requirements as required.
Qualifications include but are not limited too:
*Lifting/carrying of less than 50 pounds.
*Frequent bending, lifting & twisting of up to 12 times per hour.
*Standing greater than 6 hours per day.
*Ability to move neck forward/back & turn right/left.
*Repetitive use of both hands & fingers to grasp, exert force, wear gloves & utilize tools.
*Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions.
*Ability to work with hands in water.
*Manufacturing experience & working around machinery considered.
*Ability to wear PPE including but not limited to earplugs, safety glasses, metatarsal & guarded boots.
