Job Skills / Requirements

Security Officer provides security patrols and services to the site on twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week basis. To maintain order and facilitate the protection of all site personnel, client property, premises, and equipment.

The GSOC operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the premises by continually monitoring multiple security systems, such as access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems. They must assess situations quickly and make accurate decisions based on predetermined protocols. Key responsibilities include identifying and reporting suspicious activities, collaborating with other security team members and external agencies when necessary, documenting incidents, and carrying out routine security and operational tasks.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess relevant security experience and certifications as required by local legislation, along with strong communication and customer service skills. Familiarity with MS Office products is also expected, as is the ability to remain observant, utilize two-way radios and telephones effectively, and multitask when needed. While not required, prior knowledge of operations center functions and processes would be an asset.


1. Perform a variety of routine and non-routine security and operational duties associated with access control, CCTV, door alarm, incident response and event monitoring using established policies and procedures. Maintain civil order, especially during facility emergency conditions.
2. Report writing and site monitoring duties.
3. To ensure a detailed knowledge and understanding of all summary Post Orders and Site Operating Procedures.
4. Respond and assist with incidents at the various sites.

Special skills and Attributes

1. Relevant security background experience, licensing, and certificates as applicable according to the local legislation.
2. Excellent communication skills, with a courteous and professional manner.
3. Exceptional reception and customer service skills.
4. Familiarity and knowledge of MS Office products.
5. Excellent observational skills Experience communicating via two-way radio and telephones.
6. Strong multi-tasking abilities.
7. Familiarity with operations center functions and processes.
