This Quality Improvement Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Consulting, educating and professionally supporting for Hospitalwide and departmental quality improvement programs, projects and initiatives.
  • Educating and advising on methods, tools and techniques for monitoring and assessing quality of care and compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing support for implementation and evaluation of hospital and unit/department based programs and serving as program manager for system wide projects.
  • Designing and administering customer surveys and analyzing, interpreting and presenting results.
  • Developing agendas, implementation plans, quality dashboards, proposals and other relevant materials to support project teams.
  • Organizing and coordinating team meetings and update divisional leadership on current performance and discuss new QI initiatives.
  • This candidate will be responsible for producing reports and metrics that contribute to the center's process improvement initiatives.

To qualify, you must have:

  • A Master's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Management or a closely related field and two (2) years of data management experience in a clinical setting is required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience in data management may substitute.
  • Knowledge of basic QI tools and control charts preferred.
  • The ability to use a variety of improvement and redesign tools and techniques such as process mapping, root cause analysis, design and prototyping, rapid cycle testing and change management.
  • The analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and indepth, experiencedbased knowledge.
