Your Impact:

As a Bilingual Electrical Construction Trainer at Interstates, you will hold a pivotal role in educating and training individuals in electrical construction to both English and Spanish speakers. Your responsibilities will include delivering comprehensive training programs, conducting practical exercises, and ensuring a supportive learning environment. This position is perfect for someone with extensive electrical construction experience, outstanding bilingual communication skills, and a dedication to nurturing talent in the construction industry.

Additional Information: The pay range for this position is $70-90K+ benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by the experience and education required, and level of responsibility. The range posted for this role represents a range that Interstates, in good faith, believes it is willing to pay at the time of this posting. The pay is determined by job related skills, training, education, and experience.


Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

  • Bilingual Curriculum Development: Develop and update training materials, course outlines, presentations, and practical exercises in both English and Spanish ensuring they align with industry standards.
  • Bilingual Training Delivery: Conduct engaging and informative new hire orientation and other training sessions on electrical construction techniques, safety procedures, and relevant software tools in both languages.
  • Hands-On Training: Coordinate and facilitate hands-on training sessions during orientation and apprenticeship classes, enabling trainees to apply theoretical knowledge effectively.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Assess trainee performance through exams, practical assessments, and evaluations in both languages. Provide constructive feedback and support to help learners improve.
  • Stay Current: Stay updated with the latest developments in electrical construction methods, NEC (National Electrical Code) code requirements and safety procedures in both English and Spanish.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to trainees, offering career advice and helping them develop their technical and soft skills.
  • Safety: Emphasize and enforce safety protocols and practices during training sessions to ensure the safety of all participants.
  • Advocates for Company Culture: Communicates and champions Interstates Core culture (vision, core values, and WHY).

Travel/Location:

  • Travel will be around 10-15% as needed to visit different regional offices or conferences.
  • Location - we are open to this being out of or near our Tulsa, OK or Omaha, NE offices.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in electrical construction.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical construction techniques, NEC code, safety procedures, and relevant software tools.
  • Exceptional bilingual communication and presentation skills (English and Spanish).
  • Previous experience in training or teaching is a significant advantage.
  • A passion for helping individuals succeed in the construction industry.
