Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Executive Director, Data Products with deep experience and strategic knowhow in product development. In this pivotal role, the Executive Director will drive the monetization efforts for our intent targeting solution D/Cipher and lead the development of D/Cipher data products, creating new ways for DDM marketers to reach consumers in key moments of intent. They will curate net-new deal packages, devise business models/ partner economics, and manage all D/Cipher rate cards. This role will partner closely with the GM of Retail Media and Head of D/Cipher Products to bring new offerings to market via our relationships with DSPs, SSPs, Retail Media Networks, and a variety of other partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop net-new high margin D/Cipher data products in all the major buy-side advertising platforms

  • Partner with ad tech, retail media, inventory partners, and internal stakeholders to develop D/Cipher based data products to be activated in programmatic channels

  • Own of all D/Cipher-related monetization strategies inclusive of rate cards, streamlining wherever possible while maintaining proper value capture for DDM

  • Analyze intent targeted campaign performance to inform pricing strategy based on nuances across brand verticals and activation pathways

  • Monitor the advertising ecosystem at-large to identify net-new data products to build and assess threats from competitive products

  • Perform ad hoc D/Cipher pricing and performance analyses

  • Partner with brand vertical and agency sales leaders to develop and maintain various rate cards.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, product management, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment between deal pricing and outcomes.

  • Support partnership conversations with retail media networks and ad tech partners.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; MBA preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Experience developing, analyzing, and pricing data products.

  • 5+ years of experience in programmatic monetization / pricing strategy.

  • Advanced knowledge of ad tech platforms and monetization (i.e., have worked extensively with DSPs and SSPs)

  • Experience working with disparate datasets across first, second, and third party data owners

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable marketing plans.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.

  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and problem-solving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborative team player with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Pay Range

Salary: $150,000 - $175,000

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees.
