The Labor Foreman performs basic installation of materials on a construction site.

Responsibilities
    Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
  • Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew
  • Allocate general and daily responsibilities
  • Supervise and train workers
  • Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
  • Ensure that all safety precautions and quality standards are met
  • Resolve problems when they arise
  • Report on progress to Superintendent
Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of construction experience
  • OSHA 10 hour certified (we will assist with obtaining this certification if necessary)
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • In-depth understanding of construction principles and procedures
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Willingness to work in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to travel

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Sit, stand, or walk
  • Climb or balance
  • Stoop, crouch, and step over obstacles
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. using the buddy system
  • Work in an outdoor condition that includes inclement weather, heat, and humidity
  • Work in environment with dust, loud noise and/or vibrations
